Producing a large range of racing-inspired motorbikes, Ducati is an Italian motorbike manufacturer best known for its V-twin sportbikes that it first began producing in the early 1970s. Highlights for 2009 include the new Ducati Monster 1100 with its balance of stunning looks and sports performance: the 1100's engine produces a staggering 79.5 ft per lbs of torque at 6000 rpm. Then there is the Streetfighter 1098S, a Ducati bike which translates track bike technology - namely its data management system and traction control system – into a superior road bike. With impeccable suspension and lightweight chassis components, the Ducati 1098S has a dry weight of only 169 kg but still produces an impressive 170 bhp.
