The Enhanced Rider Scheme 2008
The enjoyment gained from riding a motorcycle skilfully and safely is second to none but it takes confidence, excelent riding skills, physical coordination and balance. Keeping our skills up to date and checking that we have not become over confident, complacent, or have picked up some bad or dangerous habits is something that few of us do.
Many of the leading motorcycle insurers have signed up for this scheme and offer up to 17% discount off the cost of your insurance if you can show that you can ride to the ERS standard!!
- DSA working closely with training experts have developed a training syllabus for post test riders designed to reduce risk and improve an individual rider's skills.
- Bike Riders visit the local accredited trainer for an assessment of their riding skills. If no significant areas of weakness are found, the trainer issues a certificate to that effect.
- If there are areas that would benifit from further training, the rider would qualify for their certificate after successfully completing the recommended training.
Call us on 01293 413330 for more details of the scheme and book your assessment. We can also supply you with a list of the insurances companies, such as Carole Nash and Bennetts,
offering the discounts to riders who hold an
Enhanced Rider Insurance Certificate.
