True Heroes join this Season’s Tri Options Cup!
2015 Ducati TriOptions Cup set for biggest and best year ever!
An incredible five Ducati Cup Champions will be lining up on the biggest grid ever as they battle for the prestigious 2015 Ducati TriOptions Cup crown.
The Ducati TriOptions Cup has become an important and popular support race for the British Superbike Championship since its beginnings in 2010 (as the 848 Challenge) and its ongoing evolvement to run the 899 Panigale. Off the track the 899 Panigale has been the best-selling sub-litre supersports bike in the UK in 2014, winning a number of media awards for its usability and performance. On the track the 899 Panigale has become a firm favourite amongst riders and spectators alike serving up some close and exciting racing.
The 2015 championship looks to be the most exciting yet with one defending champion and four former champions of the series competing for this year’s title. The Ducati TriOptions Cup also is nearing a full grid with 33 riders currently registered and many others showing interest.
A number of Ducati dealers will be entering teams this year, none more so than P&H Motorcycles as we look to defend our dealer title with the same three man team consisting of title holder, Dennis Hobbs, runner-up Leon Morris and journalist Alastair Fagan. Ducati Coventry expands their team from two to four, whilst neighbour Ducati Wolverhampton contest a full season with young Louis Dawson, son of dealership owner Tony Dawson and Hyside Motorcycles return again for a second season with Rob Guiver.
High profile injured servicemen team ‘True Heroes Racing’ have moved to the series for 2015 with a three man squad. The team, formed to help give injured Service personnel a new found sense of focus and direction, has recently retired soldier Dave Mackay joining double amputee, Murray Hambro and severely deaf, Luke Smith.
