Scorpion After Market Exhaust Systems

Scorpion Exhausts are now sought after by leading tuning specialists as well as amateur and professional bikers, having established an exceptional reputation over three decades. The manufacturer owes its claim to world-class products to its commitment to research and development, applying traditional engineering excellence and quality to new and emerging technologies.

Research and Development

Scorpion is well aware of how to tap into the passion of motorcycle racers, focusing on achieving great quality, great sound and great power throughout the development and manufacturing process.

The exhaust brand also has an enviable commitment to maintaining its status as a high-quality equipment manufacturer that enhances motorcycles. Whenever a new bike model is developed, it obtains a version from specialist dealers, to ensure motorcycle accessories are correctly attuned to these new designs.

Scorpion's first step is to test any new bike with the original equipment manufacturer exhaust attached to establish what improvements can be made. Improving power and torque is as important as aesthetic value and ease of fitment. Use of computer simulations ensure that engineering developments are optimised to their fullest at every stage of acceleration on specific bikes.

Quality exhausts for top brands

Scorpion makes highly specialised exhaust systems for all the top brands, from Ducati, Aprilia and BMW through to Buell, Honda and Kawasaki.

There is also lots of choice across exhausts designed for specific bikes. For example, if you ride a BMW K1200S or K1200R 2005-06, the DSBM 57 oval exhaust can be purchased in carbon fibre, titanium, stainless steel or titanium flame finishes to match a full range of two piece motorcycle leathers and crash helmets.

Meanwhile, riders of Honda CB 900 Hornets can fit either an oval or round HA76 twin can system, which replaces the standard high-level silencer. In addition to a choice of colours, there are improved power gains and sound.

Highlighting the choice available to riders, Scorpion has developed more than 30 specialised exhausts each for the popular Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycle brands. A range of motorcycle accessories is available with each of the exhaust set-ups too.

Accreditations and industry approval

Scorpion Exhausts was awarded BS.EN.ISO.9001:2000 accreditation in 2006, when the company was already close to TS 16949:2002 accreditation standards, which are the highest available across the industry to date.

Perhaps more importantly, Scorpion Exhausts offers a purchaser Lifetime Warranty across all systems. The manufacturer's expertise is also appreciated by professional motorcycle racing teams throughout the industry - used extensively across a range of events.

In 2006, Scorpion Exhausts were used by the Bol d'Or Team Metisse in the Enduro Race championship, performing flawlessly throughout the course of the event.

British Superbike Team SMT Yamaha/Zanotti Racing is also sponsored by Scorpion Exhausts. A special Titanium system was developed for the team's Yamaha R1 bike. The lightweight system was able to achieve a 2.5 bhp power gain over the original Akrapovic system.

Exhaust sound and style

For the few riders that remain unconvinced of Scorpion Exhausts' excellence, they are likely to change their mind with a visit to the manufacturer's website, before making a purchase through a dedicated stockist such as P&H Motorcycles.

Scorpion understands that the sight and sound of an exhaust often tells you so much more than anything else can, which is why it lays the quality of its products bear in a range of videos and sound recordings demonstrating why its exhaust models are so well respected and highly sought after.
