Ben Spies getting more comfortable on Yamaha bike at Aragon testBen Spies is feeling more at home on his factory Yamaha Racing bike, following a private test at the Aragon circuit in ahead of the Moto GP later this month.
The American clocked 1'48.647 yesterday and will aim to test more parts today.
Following yesterday's session, Spies said: "We have a lot of different settings with the bike.
"Mainly with the front-end, with the forks, to get me a little bit more comfortable with the hard braking."
Spies managed to equal his fastest lap on the track with ease, which will be reassuring for the team.
Fellow Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo set a 1'48.471 and will try a new engine today in the hope of achieving more power down the straight, which has been identified as a strength of Honda rider Dani Pedrosa
Lorenzo leads the Moto GP championship, 13 points ahead of second-place Pedrosa.
Ben Spies currently occupies tenth spot, with just 66 points.
