Indian route named top riding wonder
Riders looking for a thrill should try the road from Coorg to Munnar via Ooty, India.Riders who are not quite ready to pack up their motorcycle clothing for the winter and are planning a riding holiday may wish to consider a trip to India.
After receiving eight nominations from the motorcycling community, a panel of experts has declared that the route from Coorg to Munnar via Ooty, India, is the best riding wonder in the world.
The judges included selected media members, representatives from Ducati, Dorna and Shell, as well as MotoGP rider Nicky Hayden.
They cited the varied scenery, mixture of mountain climbs, twisting corners and diverse wildlife along the route as reasons for the award.
Hayden said of the decision: "I'm really pleased that Coorg to Munnar via Ooty, India has been named the world's ultimate riding wonder.
"There are so many great rides out there and I love the tracks, but think it was a good choice."
One lucky member of the public, Alessandro Donadello from Italy, also won a trip to India to ride the route.
