Bautista boosted by new Ohlins racing forks
Bautista was happy with his Ohlins forksRizla Suzuki rider Alvaro Bautista is feeling more confident about the 2011 MotoGP season after testing the latest Ohlins racing forks.
The team tested two sets of Ohlins front forks, eventually finding a setting that gave the rider much greater feel for the front end of the bike.
Bautista's new Ohlins front forks gave him the confidence to release the brake in the corners, allowing him to carry more speed through the tighter bends and exit more effectively.
The Spanish rider also tested a new swingarm, which also helped the bikes balance.
"I am very happy with the first day because I've done close to my best time and the conditions were much worse than in qualifying," he said.
Alvaro Bautista has been confirmed to appear at the Carole Nash Motorcycle Live Show later this month. The Suzuki rider will be signing autographs for fans and talking about life as a MotoGP rider with Steve Parrish.
