Jonathan Rea eager to get going on newly decorated Fireblade
Jonathan Rea is keen to get back on his bike and race.British rider Jonathan Rea is happy with the new livery adorning his bike and motorcycle leathers, and is keen to get back to racing.
The Honda World Superbike rider has been left frustrated by three months of inactivity imposed by the competition's testing ban.
With the official pre-season test giving the team its chance to gauge progress against its rivals, Rea can feel the intensity start to increase before the first round of the 2012 championship at the weekend.
"I can't wait to get back on the bike again … It's next weekend that really counts though, and I'm really looking forward to the new season," he said.
Teammate Hiroshi Aoyama is also looking forward to getting back on the track, and joins Rea in complementing the new livery.
This season is an important one for Honda, as the company is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Fireblade in 2012.
