Valentino Rossi planning to stay at Ducati until 2014
Ducati will have Valentino Rossi until at least 2014, the rider claims.Valentino Rossi has reaffirmed his commitment to Ducati, by insisting he wants to continue with the team for another three seasons at least.
Thirty-two-year-old Rossi has just endured the worst year of his career, only making the podium once and never getting near taking a win on the struggling Ducati.
Yet Rossi insists he is still as motivated as ever to make the Ducati successful and wants to continue with the team when his contract ends at the end of the coming season.
"At the minimum, I want another contract, meaning two seasons after this one," he told Motogp.com.
"This year will be interesting because all the riders have contracts that end! But I hope to remain with Ducati because I have to win with them and get some good results."
The Italian went on to says that he is confident that the entirely redesigned 2012 Desmosedici will be competitive, although the team will be on the back foot from the start of testing after having changed so much.
