Fractured collarbone for Tech 3's Andrea Dovizioso
Andrea Dovizioso will ride for Tech 3 Yamaha next season.Tech 3 Yamaha's plans for the new MotoGP season have been put in jeopardy after Andrea Dovizioso suffered a fractured collarbone.
The Italian, who has only just joined Herve Poncharal's team after turning down an offer from Honda, was training on a motocross bike when he had the crash.
Dovizioso's personal manager Simone Batistella said the rider described the fall as minor, but unfortunately the awkward landing fractured his collarbone.
With the first test of 2012 in Sepang just three weeks away, the injury could prove a problem for Tech 3, but Batistella is hopeful that things will run according to plan.
"As far as the Sepang Test goes, the first impressions of the medics who examined him are that he should not have any major problems, and they expect and hope for a speedy recovery," he added.
Dovizioso was strong on the Repsol Honda machine last season, but defected to Yamaha when Honda could only offer him a role on the satellite squad San Carlo Gresini.
