Valentino Rossi has no regrets over Ducati switch
Valentino Rossi is certain he will be back on the pace in 2012.MotoGP star Valentino Rossi insists that he does not regret his move to Ducati, despite a hugely underwhelming first year with the team.
Rossi quit Yamaha after seven years, 46 race wins and four world titles to take on the Ducati, but recorded just one podium and was never on the pace on the Desmosedici in 2011.
Asked by the Motorcycle News if he had made an error by jumping ship from Yamaha, Rossi explained that whenever he begins to question his decision he realises it was something he had to try, adding that the challenge remains a "fascination".
"It is better to try and have some problems than never try at all and wonder for the rest of my life, what if? I race and I make all the choices of my career like this, and I have a lot of fun because of that," he told the newspaper.
The six-time champion added that he is "convinced" he can come back and fight for the title next year.
