Ducati 848 Challenge returns at Brand Hatch
The Ducati 848 Challenge begins this weekend.Brand Hatch will see the riders of the Ducati 848 Challenge pull on their motorcycle leathers for the first race of the season.
After a hugely successful first season, the championship has returned for 2011, covering eight rounds as the official support series for the British Superbike Championship.
Starting at Brands Hatch, the series will visit Thruxton, Cadwell Park and Silverstone, while also travelling to the continent for prestigious races at Monza in Italy and Assen in Holland.
Riders pulling on their motorcycle clothing for the Brand Hatch opener include last season's champion Darren Fry and runner-up Leon Morris.
Ex-BSB rider Kenny Gilbertson, as well as Manx GP stars Andy Kirkwood and Barry Poll, will also be lining up on the grid.
As well as sponsoring this series, Ducati has reserved its own stand for this year's British MotoGP event in June, allowing fans of the Italian marque to support factory riders Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden together.
