Lorenzo and Pedrosa to do battle in Japan
Dani Pedrosa will compete against fellow Spaniard Lorenzo this weekend.Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa are preparing for battle in a series of three back-to-back races in Japan for the final stages of the 2010 FIM MotoGP World Championship.
Postponed as a result of the Icelandic volcano eruption five months ago, the Grand Prix of Japan will see riders don their motorcycle helmets for some intense competition, with Pedrosa the only rider left who can dash Lorenzo's hopes of a premier class title.
Lorenzo will begin the weekend 56 points ahead of his closest rival, but Repsol Honda rider Pedrosa's strong performance at Aragon indicates that this will be anything but an easy race for the leader.
Pedrosa has an impressive history at Motegi, standing on the third step of the podium for two consecutive years.
Meanwhile, Interwetten Honda's Hiroshi Aoyama is has stated that he is going for his season's best result on home soil at the weekend.
