Red Arrows swap flight suits for motorcycle clothing
Riding motocross like Carl Nunn was fun for the Red ArrowsPilots from the Red Arrows recently swapped their flight suits for motorcycle clothing to try motocross.
Following a display at the Port of Dartmouth Regatta, the whole team went down to the Suzuki off-road centre in Totnes to try a different kind of flying over the indoor jumps.
Unsurprisingly the RAF's finest jet pilots did not look a bit out of place in their motorcycle clothing, with the centre manager Andrew Savery saying the whole group took to the bikes quickly and were soon jumping them.
Red 8 squadron leader Graham Duff said the whole experience was fantastic, giving the pilots a new respect for those who ride motocross for a living.
"The guys at the centre really looked after us, building our confidence and teaching techniques to off-road riding that's sure to be of benefit when we ride in the future," he said.
Professional Suzuki rider Carl Nunn has endured a torrid time lately in the British Motocross Championship, crashing in mud in the last round at Silverstone which meant he was unable to complete the day.
