Arai releases new carbon fibre motorcycle helmet
Arai's new motorcycle helmet uses Formula 1 specificationDemand is certain to outstrip supply for the latest Arai motorcycle helmet, it has been claimed.
The carbon fibre RX-7 RC is one of the most exclusive motorbike helmets ever produced, according to the website LondonBikers.com.
Only 300 will be produced each year so that rarity will be ensured, while the price tag will be a hefty £2,099.99.
This helmet is based on the same specification that the manufacturer uses for Formula 1 racing helmets, featuring aircraft industry-standard carbon fibre, complemented by an inner shell with five different densities.
"The RX-7 RC marks a completely new benchmark of manufacture in this respect," the website notes.
It also comes with an extra-wide visor and improved diffuser ventilation, as well as an adjustable spoiler.
Arai will be sponsoring the No Budget Cup on Anglesey later this month, an event which allows biking enthusiasts to get involved in road racing with minimal financial outlay.
