Rossi looking to thrill the crowds at home race
Rossi will have huge home support in MisanoMotoGP champion Valentino Rossi is looking to entertain when the championship heads to his home track of Misano this weekend.
After spending much of last weekend sliding his motorcycle clothing around the Indianapolis Brickyard, the Italian is hoping to perform much better over the coming days.
One thing that his experience in the US did make him realise, however, is that he is not yet 100 per cent fit after breaking his leg.
The Italian is still using customised Dainese leathers to support his weakened right shin, and the intense US heat left him without the strength to fight for the race win.
But a trip back home could be just the tonic for the Yamaha rider, as he has won there many, many times.
"It's my home race and it's near my house so it's always very special to race there, in front of all of my fans," he told the MotoGP website.
