Plater glad to be back in motorcycle clothing
Plater will be back on the race track this weekendSteve Plater is delighted to back in his motorcycle clothing, stating he never once thought about quitting the racing scene after his crash.
Three months ago the Honda rider crashed at the North West 200 road race and broke his arm and neck - injuries which could have been worse had it not been for his protective motorcycle clothing.
This was just three races into the Superstock 1000 Championship season, of which Plater himself had won two.
Now he is just happy to be racing again at his home circuit of Cadwell Park, but there is no doubt he wants to start winning titles again.
He said: "As far as I'm concerned, I'm still capable of winning, so I'm going to keep pursuing the ultimate goal, which is to win championships.
"As long as there are no repercussions from my injuries, there's no reason why I can't win another."
Plater's injury meant he missed out on taking part in the Isle of Man TT series, where fellow Honda rider Ian Hutchinson set a new record by winning five races in one week.
