Charity auction offers original motorcycle clothing
A t-shirt signed by Valentino Rossi features in a charity auction. Some unique motorcycle clothing has been offered up for auction by two stars of the Moto GP circuit.
Valentino Rossi has signed a one-off t-shirt that depicts the Italian lying in his hospital bed with his leg in plaster, telling fans he will be back racing soon, the Motorcycle News reports.
The nine-time champion broke his leg in practice for the Italian Moto GP earlier this month after a 90mph high-side flip.
Also up for grabs is a leather Dainese jacket worn by Rossi's teammate at Fiat Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo.
The young Spaniard wore the jacket when he visited the Isle of Man TT races and it is also autographed, the publication notes.
Proceeds from the sales will go to Riders for Health, a charity which provides aid workers in Africa with vehicles capable of reaching remote areas.
Riders for Health is MotoGP's official charity partner for 2010 and later this year a Yamaha R1 with Rossi's own Five Continents livery is to be auctioned in aid of the group.
