BMW unveils electric scooter concept
BMW C1-E scooter revealedIt is hoped the new vehicle will provide an environmentally-friendly and practical single-track solution to city driving.
Safety features from the former C1 have been developed to include a roll-over bar and rider harness and a motorcycle helmet is not a legal requirement, although the rider does remain open to the elements so a warm jacket and gloves could be a good idea.
The electric motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery and the vehicle can also be equipped with a low-emissions internal combustion engine.
Taking place at the Sheffield Arena on Saturday and Sunday (June 12th and 13th), the show offers something for all bikers with more than 100 exhibitors and trade stands, stunt riders, skill assessment ride-outs with the BikeSafe police team and family activities.
