Triumph scooped one of the top honours.

Honda, Triumph and Suzuki were the big winners at this year's Motorcycle News (MCN) Awards.

Triumph picked up the coveted Manufacturer of the Year prize, a just recognition for the superb array of motorcycles made by the company.

The British manufacturer also won the Best Adventure Bike award for its excellent Tiger Explorer.

Honda also performed well, scoring awards in the Best All Rounder and Best Scooter categories for the NC700X and Vision 110 respectively.

Steve Martindale, general manager for Honda (UK) Motorcycles, commented: “We are delighted to have been awarded such accolades for two of our most popular models in the Honda range."

Winner of the Best Naked (Middleweight) award was the Ducati Streetfighter 848, while the Best Naked (Unlimited) prize went to Aprilia for its Tuono V4 R.

Suzuki also did well, notching up two wins for its GSX-R600 machine in the Best Sports Bike (middleweight) category and the Inazuma 250 in the 250cc section.

Machine of the Year went to BMW for the S 1000 RR, which also won the award for sports bikes of any engine size.
