Suzuki GSX-R600 wins Motorcycle News award
The Suzuki GSX-R600 is the leading bike in its class, says MCN.Suzuki's has completed a unique double after its GSX-R600 won the coveted Motorcycle News (MCN) Machine of the Year award for the second year running.
The world's top weekly motorcycle newspaper hailed the bike for its weight saving and "impressive" performance developments, saying the GSX-R600 "impressed instantly".
Suzuki's GSX-R600 is "still the benchmark" in the class and has moved the 600cc sector forward by a "big margin", judges from the MCN said.
Performance is on a par with 1,000cc bikes that were being produced just a few years ago.
Suzuki GB general manager Paul de Lusignan said: "To win this award again is very encouraging indeed and hopefully gives customers and owners further reassurance that they are riding the best middleweight sports bike on the market."
After winning the award this time last year, Alastair Seeley swiftly went on to take his GSX-R600 to the 2011 British Supersport title.
