Triumph enters tourer market with Trophy 1200
Triumph has unveiled the Trophy 1200.Triumph is putting its indelible stamp on the tourer market with the new Trophy 1200.
The new machine has been unveiled this week and is expected to go on sale by October.
It has the same 1,215cc, shaft-driven three-cylinder engine that was developed for the Tiger Explorer, delivering a healthy 132bhp.
A ride-by-wire throttle means traction control and cruise control are possible, while also optimising fuel consumption.
On the fancier SE model there is even electronically adjustable suspension to make it easy to set up for your exact preferences and road conditions.
Adding another dimension of comfort are the heated seats and grips. Both the rider and pillion seats are thermostatically controlled to deliver just the right of heat.
As for motorcycle accessories, there is an optional 55-litre top box, which features an automatic electrical connection with 12v charging socket.
It’s also fully weatherproof and is large enough to accommodate two full face motorcycle helmets.
The Trophy, says Triumph, offers "the torque, performance and handling for a sublime riding experience".
