Casey Stoner confident he will perform in San Marino
Casey Stoner confident he will perform in San MarinoCasey Stoner will be aiming for another winning performance when he pulls on his Dainese helmet for the 13th MotoGP race of the season at San Marino this weekend.
In a post on the Honda Racing blog ahead of next weekend's race, the World Championship leader said he is confident he can get a good result.
Stoner holds a 44-point lead over defending champion Jorge Lorenzo, having secured seven race wins with Repsol Honda this season.
Despite struggling last year and missing the 2009 visit to Misano, the young Australian is keen to see the team have a competitive race.
"It's a nice track, I like the two corners off the end of the back straight, they're a lot of fun and very fast," said Stoner. "I know Dani and Jorge will be very fast there, but I'm coming off the back of three wins and in a strong position in the championship."
