Staff & Customers ride out for Rainbow Trust
P&H Staff and customers at the finishHaving met up at Ryka's Cafe at Box Hill there was a good chance to take a look at the varied motorcycles that were taking part in the ride out. The marshall team, which included our very own Steve Manning from ART Motorcycle Training, gave a brief along with representatives from the Rainbow Trust at 11:45 before we all set off at 12pm.
The destination was Whiteways Cafe on Bury Hill, near Arundel. The look and sound of the many bikes setting off was a sight to behold with many of the riders sporting their different brightly coloured, Rainbow Trust Children's Charity T-Shirts, on lookers gave out a large cheer as the sea of colour was setting off.
The weather came through for us as well, it was a gorgeous day and exceptionally hot. The ride itself took about an hour and we arrived at our destination meeting up with approximately 100 other bikers that had ridden out to Bury Hill for the day.
Sarah Tuckwell, one of the organisers' said "We have raised approximately £1600 for the charity which a fantastic achievement. The event was an amazing success!"
So a big thank you to all who supported from us here at P&H.
Rainbow Trust provides practical and emotional support to 1,000 families a year who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Rainbow House in Surrey and Rainbow Fernstone in Northumberland offer respite for the whole family in a comfortable, homely environment whilst our Family Support Workers join the families in their own home and are there to provide whatever support is needed.
