Dear Friend
I am writing to you to thank you for some of the best customer service I have ever received from a company.
I purchased my Suzuki SV650S from you in November 2004 and from the outset, everyone has been more than helpful. I explained to your salesman, Justin that I was completely new to biking and was pleasantly surprised he did not start trying to take advantage and sell me needless things or an unsuitable bike. He explained that many bigger motorcycles would be too powerful for me to start on and insure. He also pointed out that V-Twins are very quick and lots of fun. 100% correct on both counts! I was also very pleased that Justin arranged for a van to delivery my SV and collect my quad bike, and for no extra cost. Overall, he is always friendly, helpful and gives sensible and helpful advice. You have an excellent employee in Justin.
Now I come to your after sales service. This is usually where most companies fall downs and have the attitude, 'we've got your money now, sod me, they're on their own'. Not P&H though! I have phoned up with what I see now as silly questions and received excellent help and advice all the way without ridicule or laughing in the background. After I was given some of the answers, I did feel a bit silly though! My motorcycle needed a new indicator before Christmas, as someone smashed it. I called P&H and was given a good price, but more importantly was told how easy it was to fit myself. Again, this is an area where the more unscrupulous dealer would have been more than happy to take the money to fit it without question.
Unfortunately, on Boxing Day I stood at my window and watched as my motorcycle just fell over on the side of the side stand, I felt gutted! I called P&H for the parts I needed and got the train to Crawley to get the parts where I found your guys had actually stripped some off one of your showroom motorcycles as they were not in stock. HOW ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY', was that!? Again, they explained how to fit the parts instead of paying for fitting. When I did fit them, they did not feel right. So I took my motorcycle to your Brighton branch where the service manager took it in AND gave me a replacement motorcycle to use until he got it all adjusted correctly. Now when I collected it I had that dreaded feeling of a big bill being presented to me. A fiver!! All he wanted was a fiver for their spare motorcycles fuel, the rest he did for FREE! How nice was that!
Now as if P&H have not done enough already I got a phone call from Sean in your service department telling me that he has spoken to Suzuki who are willing to pay for the parts! Even though nothing was found to be wrong with the stand. I had not expected him to do this, nor had I expected to get anything out of Suzuki themselves. They have shown me that they are an understanding company as well. Due to this good fortune I am on my way to P&H Crawley today to pick up my refund on the motorcycle parts, which means I can buy some belated pressies that I could not afford before Christmas.
In closing, I would like to say thank you very, very much for all your help and top quality service. Long may it continue and needless to say, I will almost definitely be recommending your company to all my friends who are thinking of buying a bike, clothing or want motorcycle training. Thank you again!
Mr. Duncan
