The Cygnus X is a new 125 scooter from Yamaha that's very attractive to a wide range of riders. Weighing in at only 114kg it's ideal for inner city travel, great for getting through the gaps in snarled traffic, holding its own both in town and on the main roads. Other advantageous features include a smart under-floor petrol tank, a practical side stand, and large twelve inch wheels suitable for all-weather traction. It even has a little hook at the front so it's possible to carry an extra item on the foot plate. Highly economical at 90-100 per gallon, the 2008 Yamaha Cygnus X can reach speeds of up to 70mph with very good acceleration, and gives good handling and performance even with a pillion.
