Well, with the KTM 990SM T you get all of that and more. It's a commuter bike, a tourer and a sports bike all in one, combining the best of KTM's racing pedigree and outstanding dirt bike reputation. Yet somehow it manages to avoid compromise on any of these levels.
The KTM 990 Supermoto Touring surprises you at every turn. The upright supermoto seating style is unmistakable, yet the seat itself offers a comfort rarely found on such machines. The twin 305 mm discs allow for precision stunts, yet are also supported by ABS for more refined riding. What's more, while the 75 degree V2 engine delivers a mighty 116 hp and 72 ft lbs of torque, the 990 SM T remains an easy, effortless ride.
Turn on the Bosch brake pressure modulator, and it will monitor your wheels 48 times a turn, correcting any skid before you even notice. Turn it off, and you can let rip, riding those same skids supermoto style.
And this Jekyll and Hyde persona continues throughout the bike, from the forgiving inverted 48 mm WP forks that take on the roughest roads, to a 12 volt socket for iPod or SatNav sophistication.
