Featuring BPF suspension technology the suspension offers better composure under braking. The engine now hails a better strong mid-range power with double intake funnels. With inlets at different heights there are performance gains at both the mid and high RPM ranges.
We all know about Ölins and this bike comes with a race standard Öhlins Steering Damper as standard. This year sees some improvements in the frame rigidity at the swing arm pivot and that being said the mass of the bike has also been centralised as well. The engine has been rotated and mounted around the output shaft giving it a steeper angle. The impact on the Centre of Gravity is 16mm higher and the header piper is now situated 10mm higher is well. The results speak for themselves with improved performance on turning in.
The throttle performance is also more precise with guides now being added to the top of the air box giving an even spray at the second injector. With all that power you need to be able to stop and the brakes are built for just that.
