Kawasaki Z1000

2008 sees the release of the new Kawasaki Z1000, an updated version of the original Kawasaki Z1 that was first released thirty years ago. The 2008 version is a highly capable sport touring machine with increased attitude, performance and styling for serious street riding.

Although the Kawasaki Z1000 motorcycle sticks to the older style backbone frame, as with earlier models, its performance has been improved thanks to the engine and chassis being remodelled for optimal agility and control. The rigidity of the chassis has also been rebalanced to provide excellent feedback for increased rider response in all speed ranges.

The ergonomics of the Kawasaki Z1000 have been greatly improved to connect the rider even closer to the bike. With nearer handlebars and a slimmer saddle, the Z1000 is a sleeker version of previous Kawasaki motorcycle models which makes riding the bike a sharper, nimbler experience in all speed ranges, and gives it increased handling abilities. 

The Z1000 engine is borrowed from Kawasaki's flagship ZX 10 motorbike but has been retuned to boost torque across the low and mid-rev range. These reworked torque measurements give more power and increased pull through the bike's mid-range speed which provides even more power and thrust.

The Kawasaki Z1000 motorbike has been designed to deliver optimal performance in a striking package, and is one of the purest hard-core street riders in the performance naked class.
