What is has instead is Honda Motorcycles most advanced, fully automatic transmission ever created - the infinitely variable HFT, or Human Friendly Transmission. This gives the rider a choice of drive, sport, or 6-speed manual mode, as well as giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves completely in the experience without any distractions.
After its debut with the concept motorcycles at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, many people thought it would simply disappear back into the design studio with all the rest. But thankfully it didn't, and now its here - a full on concept bike in full production. And best of all, it lives up to every one of its promises.
Programmed fuel injection, mono shock Pro-Arm rear suspension, Honda Evolutional Catalysing dual chamber exhaust and shaft final drive combine to bring the best out of the Honda DN 01, while a hi-tech Ignition Security System ensures that the inevitable jealousy doesn't get the better of unauthorised riders.
And while it may have enough technology to pretty much drive itself, this motorbike will never take you for a ride. On the contrary, it responds smoothly and obediently to your every whim giving you thrilling performance from the first throttle twist.
