CBR600RRThe latest addition to Honda's Super Sports class of bikes is the Honda CBR600RR, inspired by the make's RC211V MotoGP bike. The CBR600RR is one of the first production bikes to use new MotoGP technologies, such as Unit Pro-Link rear suspension and Honda's Dual Stage Fuel Injection (DSFI) system. Other racing replica features include a brace swingarm, an upright exhaust system, and an aggressive riding position. In contrast to previous models, the 2087 Honda CBR600RR motorbike is slimmer and trimmer with a shorter wheelbase and crisper bodywork. The new frame shaves off 20 pounds from the 2006 version and offers superb agility and handling on the road at the highest track speeds. The lightness of the Honda CBR600 can be partly attributed to the use of fine die-case (FDC) technology which allows for a lighter frame without losing out on strength or sturdiness. It's hardly surprising then that at 88.1kw capacity and weighing only 431 pounds, the 2008 Honda CBR600RR is the lightest and most powerful bike in its middleweight class. The bike is also the first middleweight motorcycle to use an electric steering damper which adjusts itself immediately, depending on speed and engine revs. Its 599cc engine offers race or road settings to allow performance to be tailored to specific terrains. Overall, the Honda CBR600RR bike of 2008 is functional in appearance and lighter and faster than ever before. Its impressive list of features are all geared towards maximum performance, whether on and off the track, making this bike a huge leap forward for Honda.
