Ducati Hypermotard 1100S
Black Frame New 2008!

If you spent your childhood at the front of the class with your hand up to answer every question then look away now. The new Ducati Hypermotard is not the bike for you. However, if that naughty little boy with the catapult still lives inside you, frustrated by the nine-to-five, then this could well be the motorbike you've been waiting for.

The 2008 Hypermotard 1100s is all attitude. Stripped down, revved up, and utterly over the top, with a real love of wheelies, this is the wild child of the Ducati stable that's built to thrill.

There are more powerful motorcycles - even the lightweight, high spec S version only produces 95bhp from the 1078cc engine it shares with the far more civilised Ducati Multistrada 1100 - but few are more agile, more fun, or more downright dirty. And while you'll struggle to get anywhere near the claimed top speed of 123mph with the wind pushing hard against your chest in the upright riding position, that's not the point either. As you wind up the most outrageous mountain road with an evil grin on your face, numbers like that just don't matter.

With the Hypermotard 1100S comes a host of top grade equipment to make that ride as thrilling as humanly possible. 50mm Marzocchi forks, with low friction diamond like carbon coating give a generous 6.5" of travel at the front to glue you to the road, while the rear boasts the race-renowned Ohlins remote reservoir shocks.

The short gear ratios bristle with attitude, taking you swiftly through to fourth before you reach 50mph, while the front brakes borrow the state-of-the art Brembo Monoblock callipers from the 1098, squeezing 305mm discs to bring you safely to a halt again ready for your next wheelie take off.

This is not a bike for commuting to work; this is a bike to ride as far as possible in the other direction. Give it a couple of hours flying into tight bends and screaming out the other side, and you'll struggle to remember just what it was that was winding you up in the first place.
